            Welcome to my farm!
My name is Donna.  I live in the country with my patient and very entertaining husband, Joel, his two horses, a donkey, my farm dog, Chewbacca,  chickens and ducks.  I have two wonderful children who grew up, got married and moved to the big city but I gained three terrific grandchildren.

Two of my favorite pastimes involve God’s Word and God’s world.   I love to take my camera out to the garden with me to record some of the wonders of God's world in the garden.  Most of the landscape and animal pictures in this site were taken in and around my yard.

My knowledge of herbs and spices was pretty much limited to salt, pepper and cinnamon…until I randomly attended a community ed. class on herbs.  I was hooked.  I didn’t necessarily want to eat them, I just wanted to grow them.  However, in time I took the daring plunge and began to add a few leaves to my cooking here and there.  I have been experimenting ever since.

As the name “Novice Farmer” implies I have much to learn.
Thanks for visiting my site.
